Stories of the Road

The fun things about this outfit:
1. Shirt - Designed and Made by.....ME!
2. Boots - Thrifted
3. Necklace - Friends Jewelry Business

I know it's not super designy, but I'm still proud that I created that shirt
from sctratch and it's not just a plain solid color shirt!

Ok, let's all admit that we judge people while we're driving. (Except when we do something wrong we hope all the other drivers will give us some grace and patience...Right?)

Well, I was forced to look back at 15 year old me, learning to drive, the other day. And when I say forced, I mean because I'm pretty sure a permit driver was in front of me. Remember when you first took a car on a main road? Did you hug the shoulder because you were scared of oncoming traffic and you were trying to stay as far away from them as possible? Well the driver in front of me yesterday did that. I kept gasping, thinking they were going to drive off the road. Except, in my opinion I'd rather hit oncoming traffic on that road. The shoulder is non-existent because there's a cliff off the side with no guard rail. That poor new driver was scaring me big time.... EXCEPT that we were also only going 20 miles an hour on a 45mph road. (Yes that was my second hint that the driver of said car was... well... just learning it or just loosing it.)

Story Numero 2! You know how we ALL get irritated when we are in a hurry
and EVERY SINGLE light hits red right as you pull up? Well yesterday I hit a sweet
spot! I was on a roll, and hitting every green on my way home... That's over 10
traffic lights people! But lo, it could not be. For my last light before my house
hit red on me and broke the streak of green luck.

Happy driving my friends. And my the traffic lights be ever in your favor.

Psalm 19:12-13
Who can discern his errors?
 Declare me innocent from
hidden faults.
Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
    and innocent of great transgression.

  3. Student drivers scare me so bad too sometimes! It's funny because I remember being so frustrated and defensive if my mom acted afraid when I was learning to drive but now I can see where she was coming from :) Can't believe you made this top! It's so cute! I love the color and the high-low angle and color-blocking.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Loving yours. Would you wanna follow each other?

  4. You and your sewing skills are so impressive! Seriously, this shirt is awesome! I have a sewing machine, but I haven't tried to make clothes in a while - I usually just stick to home items (pillows, curtains, etc.). You've inspired me to make some clothes!

I LOVE when I get on a green light steak! I live pretty close to where I work, so I drive through a lot of stoplights. It's always a good sign when I hit all green lights on the way to work!
