Day 2 of Red, White, Blue! And this is one of my faves! A Made-By-Me necklace, a Hand-Me-Down Dress, and a $0.50 belt! Now we're talking, people! Who says hand me downs are tired and worn out?

Not this girl! Not only that, While I wore the outfit I visited my favorite cupcake shop on cute little Main St. in historic downtown. Such delish treats! (I always take the bottom off the cupcake and put it on top...sandwich anyone?)

Moving on...

I talked to my dear sister last night. Not for long, but we made a phone Date for later this week! I miss her! I love her! MMM warm and fuzzies in my heart! I wish I could hug her right now. This week... The whole remembering who is working for our freedoms thing, makes me think of her and her hubs. They are both in the Air Force. He's currently deployed. Yep, serving. Good guy, this one! And she's missing him lots. Uhg... I'd hate to think of her away from family and not with your husband. LOVE YOU RAYBABE! I think it's sufficient to say that I like a good theme. During the school year, the weekly gatherings with the high schoolers have themes sometimes...LOVE IT! Thrift Shop, 80's, Western...Bring it!

But I will say that two of my favorites are holidays. July 4th and Christmas. All week I dress in traditional colors for the upcoming event! And this year is no different. I'm not one to be overly matchy-matchy with my outfits, but I even try to have my purse match sometimes. So gear up folks, it's 4 days of the wonderful Red, White & Blue!

Does anyone else do this? I'm hoping I'm not alone! But if I am, I'm owning it!
