Left-Overs

The fun things about this outfit:
Jeans - Thrifted & Dyed, tank - Hand-Me-Down (Mom), Shoes - Toms, Bracelet - Gift

Well, folks this week I have a clear cut indicator that I'm living the single life.
Left-overs!

I made food on Sunday...Twice as much as I needed to feed the friends coming over.
So as you may have already assumed...
Guess what I've been eating all week.
And I say ALL because it takes a one-woman show that long to eat all the left-overs.
Good thing I love Pasta & Red Sauce. Because I still have at least 2 more meals!

Speaking of left-overs! I'm loving that this outfit has such a mish-mash of origins.
The tank is one that I found in my moms sewing room from when she was my age.
The jeans are from a thrift store. And the bracelet was a gift from a friend.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.

TGIF

The fun things about this outfit:
Purse - $2 Thrifted, Pants - $4 Thrifted, Shirt - Kohls, Striped Bracelet - Thrifted, Shoes - Target Sale $8

Don't forget to follow via Bloglovin. GFC is almost gone!

First things first, I found this purse for 2 buckaroos at the consignment event I told you about last week. I'm feeling great about it because I've been wanting a white purse for about 6 months now. I'm keeping an eye out always. And I've found some great ones. But for whatever reason, even $7 sounded too much to me. Now I know why. THIS ONE was waiting for me! (PS. I found these pants there too!)

So I have the wonderful experience of actually loving my job.
I know that not everyone gets to say that they really do enjoy what they do.
But I'll be honest, there's something about Friday that is still exciting to me.

I may have shared this verse recently. I'm not sure. But it sure is finding it's way into my life a lot these days.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Searching for Brights

The fun things about this outfit:
1. Green Pants - Thrifted & Skinnied
2. Sweater - Thrifted and taken in.
3. Pink Shirt - Target
4. Shoes - DSW
5. Black Bracelet - Thrifted

I've been aching for some brights in my closet. The more I look the more I realize that my closet is pretty much a winter/fall closet. Soooo, A thrifting we will go!

Hopefully come May there will be some more bright additions including crazy prints and who knows, maybe something studded??? We will see.

But for now: Pink!

P.S. Check out what I've been doing on Rachel's blog this week. I contributed some thoughts on the 5th chapter in Purpose Driven Life. And I guest posted some of my favorite ways to wear one of my favorite pieces: Chambray of course!

Hebrews 10:24-25
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging
one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

In my head:Maybe this post has way tooooo many pics...OH WELL!

Well this is last Saturday's outfit.
But I did Sister Swap last Saturday so you poor dears had to wait a whole 7 long days
before seeing this casual treasure and this series of jump-fest 2013.
That's right everyone, we're getting jumpy up here in photo world.

I know I talked about a new baby earlier this week, BUT yesterday afternoon my best friend had a baby boy who is a show stopper. This little treasure is seriously adorable. This is my second time being with my friend while she gave birth and it is one of the most amazing things ever in my opinion. Can you even try to top new life? ... Didn't think so.

With my second cup of coffee today, and while I eagerly await this afternoons
mani-pedi I will leave you with a verse that lifts my heart even when I am
unfortunately feeling self imposed distance from God. This battle and fight
to even have a desire to draw near to Him is so frustrating. But I love the
constancy of knowing that my Father's love for me is so strong that He calls me
His child. That alone is enough to claim victory even while still in the battle.

1 John 3:1
See what kind of love the Father has given to us,
that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
